What scheduling tool for Pinterest should you be using in 2022? There are several ones out there to make your pinning life easier, but which one is the best? This blog will have a look at four different scheduling tools to make the choice easier for you.

Why Should You Use a Scheduling Tool?

There are many reasons why you should be using a scheduling tool for Pinterest. The most obvious one is probably because it saves you time! By using a tool you can bulk schedule which means you don’t have to worry about your pinning schedule every day or week. This makes life so much easier as you can plan your content, save time, which you can then allocate to other parts of your business. Win-win, right?

And before you ask, no using a scheduling tool will not decrease your performance on Pinterest!

But Which Scheduler To Choose?

Before we look into what the best scheduler for Pinterest is in 2022, there are a few things to think about when choosing a scheduler. These are which platform is the easiest to use, which is most cost-effective, are there video editing options, can you connect other platforms?

There are only 4 Pinterest-approved scheduling tools out there and if you are thinking about using a tool, I would recommend choosing one of those as, obviously, Pinterest has approved them so they are all good. I have tried each and every one of them and for me, there is only one that stands out.

Let’s have a look at them! Below is a very concise overview.

Scheduling is unlimited on Canva, in the sense that you can go as far into the future as you want to, however, with regards to Pinterest you need to schedule each pin to each board manually. This makes it time-consuming and in my eyes not very user-friendly.

Planoly

  • Depending on the plan you can connect custom social profiles
  • Unlimited uploads
  • Custom users

Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.

Scheduling specifics:

With Planoly you can schedule as far into the future as you want, this is a bonus. Another bonus is you can schedule to multiple boards in one go but you have to select the individual dates manually. A disadvantage is you cannot space time out between pins.

Later

Free version: available.

Specifics:

Very generous.

  • One of each of the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Linkedin)
  • 10 posts per social profile
  • 1 user

Paid version: different versions available.

Price: From $8 per month, going up to $40 per month

Specifics:

  • One of each of the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Linkedin)
  • Depending on the plan you choose, you start with 30 posts per platform, going up to unlimited posts per platform for the most expensive version
  • The lower-paid plans only give permission to one user while the highest-paid version gives access to six users
  • You will get Pinterest analytics from the Starter package which is $15 per month

Scheduling specifics:

Later is super easy to use and you can plan as far into the future as you want, which are great benefits. You can use video but in the free version, you cannot upload it to Linkedin. The disadvantage of this platform for Pinterest is that you can only schedule to one board at a time. This makes pinning quite labour intensive on this platform. However, if you are looking for a scheduling tool to combine your different platforms, Later is definitely an option.

Tailwind

Free version: not available. You can get 20 free posts

Paid version: different versions available, starting at $9.99 per month.

Specifics:

  • Tailwind is now available for Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook
  • The lowest-paid plan gives you 1 social profile of each, whilst on the highest plan you can have three
  • The amount of users varies from 1 to 5, depending on your plan
  • All plans give access to advanced analytics for all platforms

Scheduling specifics:

Tailwind is not super easy to use but they have great tutorials and a helpdesk. You can use photos and videos and schedule far into the future. Tailwind also has an extension, which is super handy.

With regards to using Tailwind for Pinterest, I think it is the best platform out there. Major bonuses are the Smart Feed, which will tell you when your pinning is not in line with current practice, interval scheduling, and the ability to make board lists. A slight disadvantage is that you cannot schedule Idea Pins, maybe in the future!

Final Thoughts

The above are all Pinterest-approved schedulers so they are all good. When you are choosing a scheduler for your business think about what you want the scheduler for most; is it to save you time, do you only want it for Pinterest or also for other platforms, are you looking for good analytics tools. This will help you decide.
